Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers can correct small imperfections in your smile and give you the beautiful, confident smile you have always wanted to show the world. Many of our patients already know the great feeling of a porcelain veneers smile. They are thin shells of porcelain that are custom fit over your front teeth to provide a flawless, natural-looking smile in as little as two dental visits. We use our teeth several times a day, and over many years the normal aging process can take its toll. Eating habits, teeth grinding, chemical damage, and injury can cause harm to your teeth by dulling the enamel and causing breakage. Other things like coffee, teas, antibiotic use, smoking, and red wine stain your teeth and give a worn, dull appearance. There are many options today for worn or chipped teeth, and we will help you achieve a beautiful, healthy and natural looking smile. Once placed, veneers become part of your teeth because they are permanently bonded to your natural teeth. You can use them and care for them with the same dental hygiene routine you would use normally.

 Lumineers

For traditional porcelain veneers, the tooth must be shaved down, to make room for the veneer. But with Lumineers, that isn't necessary, because Lumineers are extra thin. They are often compared to contact lenses in their delicate thinness. Thinness does not mean weakness. Lumineers are strong after they bond to the tooth. Tooth and veneer become one entity. The veneer providing a new glossy surface, and the tooth supporting the veneer. Lumineers are no exception to this, and will give you many years of smile brightness. Your Lumineers will not become stained. With good dental care, most people will keep their pearly-white sheen for many years.

Tooth Colored Fillings

Finding out you have a cavity is not the greatest news, but what is great news is that we now have the capability to use porcelain or tooth colored composite fillings instead of metal fillings. Find out more about the benefits of using porcelain or composite material instead of silver mercury. Porcelain fillings have proven to be stronger and more effective than their metal counterparts, and the end result is more appealing. Patients no longer have to deal with the unsightly dark fillings in their mouth, since the new porcelain fillings can be matched to the natural color of your teeth. Metal fillings have been found to contain up to 50 % mercury, and for safety reasons, we choose to avoid the potential risks for our patients. Talk to our cosmetic dentists about replacing any problematic old metal fillings with a new, more durable porcelain filling.

Don’t go one more day without the smile you deserve. It’s time for a Nu you!
